I lost my mother in January of this year. So this is a little tough. But I want everyone to know I had a great mother. She was very kind and generous and tried to help everyone and took on theirs problems. I remember as a youth she combed my hair everyday in the kitchen before I went to school. You say well that's normal. But I mean all through High School too. I never polished my own shoes or made my bed. I wanted to go to the prom and money was very tight. I really never thought how much of a financial sacrifice it was for me to rent a tux, pay for dinner, buy a corsage, buy new black shoes, and pay for the tickets. I just wanted to go. My parents just made it happen, I always remember her with a smile. During some her very last moments, I was holding her hand and she was pretty much incoherent. I said to her mom it will be OK. She turned to me and said 'Do you Promise". And I responded to her "I promise". I know familes are forever and I'll see her again. Thanks mom for all the memories. I sure love you and miss you. Rascal Flats sure had it right when they sang "One More Day". Please cherish your parents while your have them.

it's neat to know how far a mother's hand has reached... my mom sent me an email that talked about mother's and you described it well in these thoughts.
I have always admired my mom but it really hits me now that I am a mom. Moms really do love their kids more than we ever knew growing up. I appreciated the tender thoughts and feelings for Gammy (as I always heard your kids call her).
When I met Jeremy one of the things that I found most appealing was how close everyone was. I can still remember the first time I went over to Papa and Gammy's house. Even though I was new to the group I still felt so loved and welcomed. Gammy is so missed but will always be a huge part of our hearts and family. We look forward to the day we are all reunited.
Wow, Dad, I was really choked up when I read what you wrote. I think it's hard to understand how much your parents lov eyou until you have children of your own!
Dad...holy tearjerker, man, life sucks so badly sometimes. I've been away for so long, it just seems like Gammy will be there in her chair by the phone when I get to Bakersfield. I miss her so much. Okay, well since you preached to spend more time with your parents before they are gone...move here already, we could spend lots of time together! I love you and I have the best mom too!
What a nice way to remember your mom! I love seeing a picture of her when she was a little girl too.
Randall, that was so sweet. I especially liked the part about the hair combing. You are so funny. There is nothing like a great mom. Thanks for reminding us all that we should appreciate our parents. As I was reading these comments, I thought why would David and Amanda's have sent you a comment? Then I remembered that you have a David and Amanda also. Our David married an Amanda. Great names!! Remember that you are in our prayers. We love the Clement family!!!
Thank you for sharing such beautiful memories of your mother. What a sweet woman.
I love my Mom and will miss her very, very much when she leaves this earth to go join my Daddy. I know the time is very close and I know she will be happy to leave but life will never be the same.
