Camping in Sequoia in June, the nights were 45 degrees and the mornings were a little chili. Note Cooper's expensive gloves - his socks.
Stake Primary Activity Day Amanda had an Ultrasound today and the twins are doing great and growing. Thank you for all your prayers.
I believe in everyone there is an expert fisherman. This my son-in-law Shaun, and he is a master at catching and releasing trout.
Hey Nathan, that hug is just a little too tight there buddy.
Pictoral summer recap. Well it has been a really fun summer so far. There is no doubt life can be good. But now "parting is such sweet sorrow". Yesterday the last of our out of town guests have left. Amanda and David flew home to NM and Aimee, Shaun and Cooper went home to TX. Our house seems so empty. I went out this morning to water some plants and it was so lonely. You see Cooper and I sprayed water in the pool and watered some plants almost every morning and every night. So the big guys got a little teary eyed because my little buddy was not there to help spray and play in the water. Cooper I miss you so much. I can't imagine how bad it will feel to be in The Celestial Kingdom and to have one member of our family missing. I want them all. I am so thankful for the time we had and look forward to the next time we are together. I am looking forward to more "Joy in my Posterity". Hope you enjoy the picture recap as much as I did. Stay tuned for more

INSPIRING STUFF
Marion G. Romney
"I counsel you, my beloved brothers and sisters and friends everywhere, to make reading the Book of Mormon a few minutes each day a lifelong practice. All of us need the uninterrupted association with the Spirit of the Lord. We need to take the Holy Spirit for our constant guide that we be not deceived. I am persuaded by my own experience and that of my loved ones, as well as by the statements of the Prophet Joseph Smith, that one can get and keep closer to the Lord by reading the Book of Mormon than by reading any other book. Don’t be content with what someone else tells you about what is in it. Drink deeply from the divine fountain itself. I feel certain that if, in our homes, parents will read from the Book of Mormon prayerfully and regularly, both by themselves and with their children, the spirit of that great book will come to permeate our homes and all who dwell therein. The spirit of reverence will increase; mutual respect and consideration for each other will grow. The spirit of contention will depart. Parents will counsel their children in greater love and wisdom. Children will be more responsive and submissive to the counsel of their parents. Righteousness will increase. Faith, hope, and charity—the pure love of Christ—will abound in our homes and lives, bringing in their wake peace, joy, and happiness."
