Happy Fourth of July everyone. Although Christmas is my most favorite holiday this one is a close second. The picture of the twins is from a postcard Amanda sent out and I stole it for my blog. I know I am a stinker and I really do feel bad. Well maybe not that bad. The Fourth of July is definitely a happy time for most, I assume. What does the Fourth mean to me? Obviously it means back yard barbeques and having family and friends over. Baked goodies, chip and dip and fireworks. Root beer floats, corn on the cob just to mention a few. But what the Fourth really means to me is what it symbolizes. My many freedoms. I surely would be reluctant if I didn’t thank my Heaven Father for all He has given me. For we truly live in a blessed land and I have much to be thankful for and be able to worship God in a manner we know to be true. Blessed be the land of the free and the home of the brave forever. This is a wonderful county to live in and to be able to have the many freedoms we all enjoy.
We went to a ward party this morning and had breakfast. At some point we said the pledge of allegiance. Later we sang patriotic songs including: America the beautiful, My country tis of thee and the Star spangled Banner and we were all very proud to sing them. Somewhere there are families who have relatives that didn’t get a chance to grow past their teenage year. They died on foreign soil to give you and I these rights and privileges that we so quickly call freedoms. To anyone that has served in the military or those that have loved ones that have died to make this country free, I salute you on this day we celebrate our many freedoms and say Thank You from the bottom of my heart. I love my family and am so thankful for all of us to live in the USA. If I could I would play a song it would be Lee Greewood, a Canadian, singing “There ain’t no doubt I love this land. God Bless the U.S.A.”
Happy New Year!!!

I love this family! What a great photo.
Dad, that was awesome what you said about the fourth of July. I feel bad that none of that even crossed my mind...life seems so crazy some days to think. But thanks for the thoughts!
