Just Reminiscing

Tomorrow is November 16th and is my mom’s birthday. Many of you know, she past away Jan 2007. I still miss her. For 20 years or so I called at least once a day and sometimes twice. Sometimes I find myself reaching for the phone and about to make a call to her to tell her something, and then realize she is gone. All I had to do is say how I really like a particular restaurant and the invitation came for us to meet her and my dad for dinner. She used to love to figure out jumbled-word puzzles in the newspaper. She would call me for help. I found a web site that unscrambled the words and gave you the answers. I would come with the answer in seconds and she thought I was so smart. I never told her my secret. I guess she knows the truth now. She was very caring and always free with her time, talents, and help for any problem I had. I remember how much she was always concerned about me and how my day was going. There was never a conversation between us, that she didn’t say I love you Ran. She always called me Ran. I purposely didn’t say I love back each and every time because I thought it was redundant and silly. Funny I don’t feel that way now. I sure would like to tell her I love you too mom. You just never know which conversation will be the last with a loved one. I spoke at her funeral and talked about a country and western song entitled "One more Day". Just wish I had one more day now. I know my mom knew I loved her, but I sure would like to tell again. Please cherish those whom you love and always tell them how you feel. Make sure "today" that you give a hug or tell someone you love them, even if they already know it. Live life with no regrets. I LOVE YOU MOM and I still miss you.
