September 11, 2001

Tomorrow is 9-11. I hope that each of will never forget the tragedy that has befallen this country. The acts of terrorists that has taken the lives of so many. In order for evil to abound, good men need do nothing. Fly your flag with a feeling of honor. Let people know you love this country by the way you speak and by the way your live. Get out and vote your conscience. I hope and pray that we will on honor our God and be the people HE intended us to be. I am so appreciative of those who lived their lives to show me the way. Those who loved liberty even more than life. Those who were willing to die for a just cause. Those whose lives demonstrate a burning love of God, family, liberty, and country. Please enjoy a few of my favorite quotes about patriotism. Alma 48:11 - 13 And Moroni was a strong and a mighty man; he was a man of a perfect understanding; yea, a man that did not delight in bloodshed; a man whose soul did joy in the liberty and the freedom of his country, and his brethren from bondage and slavery; 12 Yea, a man whose heart did swell with thanksgiving to his God, for the many privileges and blessings which he bestowed upon his people; a man who did labor exceedingly for the welfare and safety of his people. 13 Yea, and he was a man who was firm in the faith of Christ, and he had sworn with an oath to defend his people, his rights, and his country, and his religion, even to the loss of his blood.
The love of one's country is a splendid thing. But why should love stop at the border? Pablo Casals Patriotism is easy to understand in America. It means looking out for yourself by looking out for your country. Calvin Coolidge A man's country is not a certain area of land, of mountains, rivers, and woods, but it is a principle and patriotism is loyalty to that principle. George William Curtis I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country. Nathan Hale And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country. John F. Kennedy The proper means of increasing the love we bear our native country is to reside some time in a foreign one. William Shenstone Patriotism is not short, frenzied outbursts of emotion, but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime. Adlai E. Stevenson A house divided against itself cannot stand. Abraham Lincoln
